Florida Water Sacred Space Spray.
There’s something about coming home that makes you look at old things differently.
Florida Water has a long history of use in spiritual, cultural and personal rituals—often used to freshen spaces, mark a transition, prepare for prayer or meditation, or simply create the feeling of starting fresh.
My version begins with pure rose water and a blend of natural essential oils, creating a beautifully aromatic mist you can reach for whenever your space—or your head—could use a reset.
Spritz the room.
Take a minute.
Say a prayer.
Set an intention.
Open the windows.
Start again.
It doesn’t have to be complicated.

Why I Made Florida Water Again
This product coming back now feels a little full-circle for me.
I originally made Florida Water because I was interested in old herbal traditions, ritual and the way people have used scent to mark meaningful moments for generations.
And then life moved me around a bit.
Now I’m back in Florida.
Back near the water.
Back rebuilding Binford’s.
Back making things with my hands.
And suddenly Florida Water made sense again.
Not because I think spraying something in the air magically fixes your life.
But because I do believe ritual can matter.
A scent can remind you to slow down.
Opening a window can change the whole mood of a room.
A prayer can help you reconnect.
Cleaning something out can make space for something new.
Sometimes the physical act simply gives us a moment to become intentional about whatever we’re trying to leave behind—or welcome in.
So, I made another batch.
Florida Water, made in Florida, during a whole new chapter of Binford’s.
That feels pretty damn appropriate.

A Little History Behind Florida Water
Despite the name, Florida Water isn’t literally water collected somewhere in Florida. 😂
It’s a style of aromatic preparation that became popular more than two centuries ago and developed its own long history in personal grooming, household use and a variety of spiritual and cultural traditions.
Over time, different communities incorporated Florida Water into practices involving cleansing, prayer, protection, blessing, offerings, meditation and preparation for ritual.
Those meanings vary enormously between traditions.
My version isn’t meant to claim ownership over any one of them.
It’s simply my small-batch interpretation of an old aromatic tradition—made for people who enjoy incorporating scent and intention into their own personal practices.
What’s Inside?
Pure Rose Water
Rose water gives this mist its beautiful botanical base.
Used cosmetically and aromatically for generations, rose water has a soft floral scent that feels fresh without being harsh or overwhelming.
There’s something about rose that immediately changes the atmosphere.
Soft.
Familiar.
Grounding.
Natural Essential Oil Blend
I add a carefully diluted blend of natural essential oils to give Florida Water its distinctive aromatic character.
Rather than drowning the room in perfume, the goal is a fragrance that feels fresh, botanical and intentional.
And that’s really the whole idea.
Rose water. Essential oils. A little intention.
Nothing unnecessarily complicated.
How I Use It
This product is called Sacred Space Spray, but you don’t need a complicated ceremony to use it.
Honestly?
Sometimes I just spray the damn room. 😂
Other times I make more of a moment out of it.
A few ways I like to use Florida Water:
Before prayer or meditation
A few sprays into the room helps mark the transition from everyday noise into quieter time.
After cleaning
Open the windows, clean the room and mist the space afterward as a final little reset.
Before journaling or setting intentions
Spritz your space, sit down and decide what you’re actually trying to bring into—or remove from—your life.
After a difficult day or conversation
Sometimes I simply want the room to feel different than it did five minutes ago.
During personal ritual
If Florida Water already has meaning within your own spiritual practice, use it in whatever way is appropriate to that tradition.
You don’t have to believe the mist itself possesses some supernatural power.
The ritual can simply be the reminder.
Pause.
Clear the space.
Choose what comes next.
Why Rose Water?
Because I wanted this version to feel softer.
A lot of traditional commercial Florida Water products are heavily perfumed and often alcohol-based.
That’s not really Binford’s.
My version begins with rose water because I wanted something botanical, aromatic and approachable that still felt appropriate for intentional or sacred spaces.
The fragrance has presence without needing to scream from across the room.
And because scent is so strongly tied to memory and emotion, eventually even the smell itself can become part of your ritual:

Made the Same Way I Started
Florida Water Sacred Mist is made in small batches.
I blend it.
I bottle it.
I label it.
I pack it.
There’s no giant fragrance company behind it.
Just me, back in Florida, making another batch of something that’s been part of the Binford’s story before.
And I think that’s part of what makes bringing this one back feel so right.
Is Florida Water Sacred Mist Right for You?
If you walked up to my market table and said:
“I don’t know how spiritual I am, but I love having little rituals that help me reset.”
I’d probably say:
Yep. That’s enough.
You don’t need the right vocabulary.
You don’t need crystals arranged under a full moon.
You don’t need to believe exactly what somebody else believes. 😂
If spraying a beautiful botanical mist before you pray, journal, clean, meditate or simply start over makes the moment feel more intentional…
then use it that way.
That’s the beauty of ritual.
The meaning belongs to you.
Back Where It Belongs
Some Binford’s products make sense year-round.
Others return because the timing feels right.
Florida Water is one of those.
After moving back to Florida and rebuilding Binford’s from here, I couldn’t resist making a batch again.

Because I use botanical ingredients and natural essential oils, you may notice slight variations in aroma, appearance or intensity from batch to batch.
That’s normal.
Shake gently before use.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
